Hope you are all well. As you can see the last post was about 2 weeks ago and even before then my posts were quite sporadic. Lately personal life has got in the way including work which is quite tough of late. It’s affecting my enthusiasm for writing and reading. I seem to be quite picky in my books. I think I’ve picked p about 2 or 3 books and have put them down because my heart hasn’t been in it I’m afraid.
But…. I’ve been away from home and I have to say it’s done me the world of good. We had such gorgeous weather…queues photo… and it was just so relaxing and peaceful to have a holiday. It didn’t matter that it was October it was nice to be away. I will be returning soon…So hopefully you will see much more of me around on Twitter, Instagram and the blogsphere.
As well as my reading group that has certainly been at a loss lately that I haven’t really participated in any of the reads. This month we are reading The Young Elites which I have to read towards the end of the week with the lovely Glass. The Tonight These Streets Are Ours for November, If any of you still want to join a group like ours then please don’t hesitate to contact me (neverjudgeabookbyitscovers@gmail.com) or Tweet me at @NverJudgeaBook.
Now for that spooky announcement… Halloween is one of my favourite times of the year apart from Christmas of course. I love the costumes, the history, the films and of course so the books. So I thought I would do a little readathon for one week – Midnight 24th to Midnight on All Hallows Eve 31st! It’s a chance to read some spooky or halloween themed reads over the next week. I have a few lined up myself. I need to catch up on the Charley Davidson series which I’m doing now.
Glad you are doing well and yay for all the fun reads lined up!
Sounds like a lot of fun! And sorry you're having a rough go at it lately. I'm glad you're coming out of it slowly, though.
I am also now catching up on the Charley books! I'm nearly halfway with Seventh Grave but will need to take a break to finish an ARC!
Lovely pic, Emma. Glad that you're alive and kicking! π
Glad you're back, Emma! I'll definitely try to join you – that's going to be fall break for me and I love spooky reads. Only problem is that lately I've been reading nothing but mystery, thriller and horror books for our Spooky October event, so maybe I'll be tired of spooky reads by then, but hopefully not. π I can't wait to read The House and I loved Daughter Unto Devils.
The picture is really beautiful. π
Beautiful picture. I wouldn't want to be inside either. I'll try to drop in on your RaT, but I haven't been reading much lately either.
Hi Emma! Great picture. It's nice to get away and just relax sometimes. I like the idea of a spooky read-a-thon. I don't know how much time I'll have to read next week but I DO still have some halloween-esque books I need to read!

Emma I'm glad that you're enjoying your holiday, don't worry about rushing back, because I've been in the same position just recently and honestly a break will certainly help!
