#ROCKMYTBR – 2016 Book Challenge – My List

Posted December 17, 2015 by Emma in Blog / 9 Comments

The Challenge: To read a minimum of 1 book per month you already own (published book). This challenge is totally what YOU make of it! You can do 5 books a month, 10, WHATEVER! Anything you accomplish is fantastic. This challenge is really what you make of it.

Hi Everyone, it’s coming to the end of the year already and I’m like where has the time gone, This year I really wanted to read more, but to be honest, I’ve come to learn that I better off reading what I want at the right pace rather than creating such a large goal to achieve. One the main things I didn’t really achieve was my overgrowing TBR pile. I really need to try and crack down on it big style. So Sarah from The YA Book Traveler whom I know from our bookclub has created possibly the most essential challenge in the entire blogosphere. I’m not usually one for challenges but I’m making an exception as this will give me the kick I need to read those books of mine.
So for this challenge I already have a shelf dedicated to it and these are the main books I really want to read next year as well as a few from my kindle too. Here is a list of books I want to read on my TBR….
Priority

This is my TBR shelf, I change it up every time I buy new books or ones that have actually been published. So these are the main books I need to read next year. One series I need to catch up on is Throne of Glass series, as well as The 100 series before Season 4 comes out next spring. Yay. Love that show. One series I want to start is the Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead, so many I have loved it and one of all time favourites will be her Vampire Academy books.

I have also kept a Goodreads shelf for this challenge so I can tick them off as I go so if you have any books similar to mine and you want to buddy read them, then please let me know. I love a good buddy read! Also I’m collaborating with Sarah to use this challenge with my reading group, the Reader’s Lounge so if you would like to join my group then please let me know in the comments.
This is such an important challenge that you all need to join it, so to find out more and join, click here for more information….

  1. I plan on reading more from my TBR as well this coming year. Good luck with your challenge! You have some wonderful books planned to read!

  2. I'm not usually one for challenges, either, Emma. I suck at them, but I do understand trying to get your TBR under control. Shut Out was just okay to me. I hope you like it more than I did. Good luck! 🙂

  3. I have for 2 years now done a read my own books thing, less review books, almost no library books and done to 30!! From 200 *coughs* It took some time but yay. So I binged on library books this month

  4. I'm not great with challenges, but I salute you and your organizational skills! 🙂 May you realize all your goals, Emma. Merry Christmas!

  5. I am not a fan of participating in challenges because I find them so stressful but this one actually seems like a good idea because I totally need to get in control of my tbr, lol!

Good luck with this, Emma <33
