The stunning YA debut from internationally bestselling author Cecelia Ahern.

Celestine North lives a perfect life. She’s a model daughter and sister, she’s well-liked by her classmates and teachers, and she’s dating the impossibly charming Art Crevan.

But then Celestine encounters a situation in which she makes an instinctive decision. She breaks a rule and now faces life-changing repercussions. She could be imprisoned. She could be branded. She could be found FLAWED.

In this stunning novel, bestselling author Cecelia Ahern depicts a society in which perfection is paramount and mistakes are punished. And where one young woman decides to take a stand that could cost her everything.

Cecelia Ahern writing a YA novel is my dream has come true. My most anticipated becomes one of my favourites and this is an incredible thought provoking and shocking novel that really makes you think about the type of society we live in and what we this world can easily change into.

Living in a world that is controlled by people and the government, it doesn’t always work out. Especially when an act or even an opinion can render you Flawed. Celestine North spoke up against a Flawed person because she wanted to offers him seat, he was old, ill and it wasn’t fair that nobody bothered to do anything. But it didn’t stop there, once she realised what she done, maybe she felt guilty at the prospect of what will happen next, but then she stood up, she got stronger, because deep down she knew that this system wasn’t right, it was against what she believed in. That’s how she became the most branded person because of her cause to stand up for herself and others heather their flawed or not. Sh dint think she just acted. But what hurts the most is when she and her family have a perfect life, well regarded in her neighbourhood and she turns out to be the….

This book played on the world that we are so afraid for it to become, novels like 1984 and many others have explored this and for me it’s scary to think that maybe our world isn’t so far away from this view. Controlling, Forbidden opinions and no freedom of speech unless it conforms to their rules. You must live up to the standards of the leaders who they themselves think themselves as gods and deep down their always be corruption at the hearts that starts from the people who created it this system.

Cecelia Ahern is a phenomenal, multi-lingual and multi-everything of a writer. For someone who hasn’t read a single book of hers before aside from my mum, I know that she is an incredible of adult fiction. But when she turns to young adult it’s like a whole new world and I mean it quite literally.

Perfect (Flawed #2)
by Cecelia Ahern
Release Date – January 25th 2018
Publisher – HarperCollins Children
Buy – Amazon | Book Depository

Celestine North is Flawed.

Ever since Judge Crevan declared her the number one threat to the public, she has been a ghost, on the run with Carrick, the only person she can trust.

But Celestine has a secret—one that could bring the entire Flawed system crumbling to the ground. A secret that has already caused countless people to go missing.

Judge Crevan is gaining the upper hand, and time is running out for Celestine. With tensions building, Celestine must make a choice: save just herself or risk her life to save all Flawed people.

I was worried that I had to read Flawed all over again as it’s been so long since I read that book. But I knew that it was one of my highlights when Flawed first came out, it was a book by an author so well recognised in a genre I very rarely read that it was one to remember.

Perfect continues off from Flawed… Celestine is on the run. Judge Crevan wants her more than anything because she has more evidence against than anything. Celestine is branded on the spine because of Crevan’s selfishness to be this pure person. He was punished for his sins therefore everyone else should follow suit. But being a leader he is more corrupt than anyone knows, who wants to follow a system like that. Celestine is the one who can change that with the help of Carrick and some Flawed activists.

She Flawed and she is proud to be. It’s the flaws that make you human, it’s the flaws that make you who you are, your character what you learn from, who you learn from. Your not Perfect to the conformity of the society. That’s not perfect that’s controlling, no freedom, ruled, governed. What Celestine wants to say is that flaws and all, your perfect in your own way and you’ll always be perfect to someone. Plus Perfect is boring, what’s life without a bit of danger, adventure or simply being a bit out of the ordinary.

“And there are the very special people in our lives who have the endless capacity to love us for all of our flaws.”

Cecelia Ahern is a remarkable writer. You can tell that instantly when you start reading her book, it’s like a whole new world. Perfect continues in its addictive, fast paced nature, it’s literally unputtadownable. Flawed series is recommended to anyone who loves Veronica Roth, George Orwell, Suzanne Collins and Margaret Atwood.
