November is Sci-Fi Month!

As you have probably guessed over my previous tweets of things bookishly sci-fi, I’m part of a feature month hosted by Rinn Reads. Like Rinn I have been planning these posts as well as various guest posts and reviews to help throughout November. I for one don’t read a lot of Sci-Fi, nor adult nor YA so this has encouraged me to at least tackle The ever-growing TBR pile. So why not join in on the conversation at #RRSciFiMonth or tweet at @SciFiMonth. So let’s kick off Sci-Fi Month in style with a little intro post by yours truly and I’ll look […]

Showcase Sunday #22

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by Vicky at Books, Biscuits & Tea. Its an opportunity to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week. Unfortunately it has been a while since I have done a Showcase Sunday *sighs* but this week I got a little overloaded with books so I thought I would make a one of the best books I have received and looking forward to reading in the next few weeks. Work has also been […]

Book Review and Film Review: City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments #1)by Cassandra ClarePublisher – Walker BooksRelease Date – July 2nd 2007Purchase – Amazon | The Book Depository  When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder — much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It’s hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing — not even a smear of blood — to show that a boy […]

Mini Reviews: Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas and Time Between Us by Tamara Ireland Stone

Crown of Midnight (Throne of Glass #2)by Sarah J. MaasPublisher – BloomsburyRelease Date – August 15th 2013Purchase – Amazon | The Book Depository  I never really done a review for Throne of Glass, it was either a mixture of I wasn’t in a blogging mood at the time or I’d simple got so caught up in it that I knew so many of you would have already read, and reviewed it with the similar ideals and expectations like me. Throne of Glass was for me a little tough for me to get into as it was the start of the […]
