Feature & Follow Friday is a blog hop that is designed to provide some much-appreciated exposure to the bloggers participating, and to expand their following. Hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read, each of whom feature a chosen blog for the week, it’s an interesting way to get to know one another.
Q: What is a deal breaker for you in a book? For example, do you abhor love triangles? Or can’t deal with bad editing?
A: Hmmm, tough question… I think that what really gets me is the bad editing. For example I have seen the in multiple books the use of “the the”. When I was younger, I never understood why a writer would use the word twice in a constant flow. Still to this day it annoys me. Haha.
Another thing that annoys me is a love triangles. Sometimes they work brilliantly and whether the author uses a unique twist to it, its flawless. But the one book that instantly pops into my head is Twilight! I love Edward and I know some of you are Team Jacob though we all knew that Bella would choose Edward, that’s a deal breaker. Also I have some mixed reviews about Pandemonium where the Love Triangle isn’t necessary and it really doesn’t work, but I have yet to read that book.
I totally wanted Bella to choose Jacob!
Yeah, love triangles are so over…

Great answers. Bad editing sucks and I don't mind love triangles, but they have to be done well. So many aren't. π Old follower via GFC. My FFs are at Musings on Fantasia and LKHill. Happy Friday! π
Same! I totally hate bad editing. And I agree, some love triangles work, some don't. Personally, I don't see the attraction in Jacob. Team Edward all the way! π Great answers, Em. And I know, Lit is making me analyse stuff all the time. π
I really didn't like Edward, he was way too uptight for me. Though I disliked Bella even more. LOL

I agree completely about bad editing. I always notice little things and they bug me. And love triangles! Oh my stars they are everywhere! If handled right, I can read it and not mind too badly. But it seems to be the going thing that if you write a book, especially YA, it has to have a triangle. And a lot of books really don't need one. I wish I could change that idea.
