So today I’m bring you a Q&A with the lovely Sasha and Lindsay, so I hope you enjoy it. But before that, here is a little bit more about both books in this galactic series.

From #1 New York Times bestselling author duo Sasha Alsberg and Lindsay Cummings comes the first book in The Androma Saga, full of action, fantastical intrigue and steamy star-crossed romance

Most know Androma Racella as the Bloody Baroness, a powerful mercenary whose reign of terror stretches across the Mirabel Galaxy. To those aboard her glass starship, Marauder, however, she's just Andi, their friend and fearless leader.

But when a routine mission goes awry, the Marauder's all-girl crew is tested as they find themselves in a treacherous situation—and at the mercy of a sadistic bounty hunter from Andi's past.

Meanwhile, across the galaxy, a ruthless ruler waits in the shadows of the planet Xen Ptera, biding her time to exact revenge for the destruction of her people. The pieces of her deadly plan are about to fall into place, unleashing a plot that will tear Mirabel in two.

Andi and her crew embark on a dangerous, soul-testing journey that could restore order to their ship—or just as easily start a war that will devour worlds. As the Marauder hurtles toward the unknown, and Mirabel hangs in the balance, the only certainty is that in a galaxy run on lies and illusion, no one can be trusted.

Her ship is gone, her crew is captured and notorious mercenary Androma Racella is no longer the powerful Bloody Baroness, but a fugitive ruthlessly hunted across the Mirabel Galaxy. The bloodthirsty Queen Nor now rules most of the galaxy through a mind-control toxin and she’ll stop at nothing to destroy her most hated adversary.

Andi will risk anything, even her precious freedom, to find a cure. Stranded with her unlikely ally, Dex, on the unforgiving ice planet of Solera, their plan to infiltrate a black-market city proves dangerously irresistible.

Back in Arcardius, Nor’s actions have opened Mirabel to invasion. As Andi’s crew fights to regain their freedom, Andi and Dex discover a threat far greater than anything they’ve faced before.

Only by saving their mortal enemy can the crew of the Marauder make one last desperate strike to save the galaxy—unaware that a shattering, centuries-old secret may demand the most wrenching sacrifice of all.

Q&A with Sasha Alsberg and Lindsay Cummings

Zenith is your debut book, Sasha, what made you want to do a collaboration for your first book?

S: Honestly, writing a book was a concept that fell into my lap when I didn’t believe I could ever be an author. I’ve written stories before, but because of my learning disabilities, I didn’t believe I was good enough to make it big. So when Lindsay purposed the idea, I took a leap of faith and said yes! I learned so much from her about writing, the kind of knowledge that helped me see that I was a writer, I just needed a mentor to guide me.

What drew you to writing with each other?

L- Our friendship! We love the same things, are in so many of the same fandoms, and we both just really work well together. We’re polar opposites in a lot of ways, but something about us just “clicks”. That was fun to carry into the series together.
How did you have plan to write The Androma series?

S: Our friendship. We have been besties for 6 years now and testing that friendship with something so huge and collaborative was testing in the best of ways! Lindsay catches my crazy ideas and I help draw hers out. We are a great introvert-extrovert pair!

How did you plan to write The Androma series?

S: We always planned on writing together, each one of us having equal parts in the creation. We both wrote each character, writing on top of the others work. It seems messy, but it worked. Plotting also helped with this system. We plotted The Androma Saga loosely and expanded the outline as we went on.

The Maruder crew each have their own character, style, story. Is any of that based on reality?

S: Lindsay and Andi would have the same closet while I WISH I could have Nors. We created the characters with small traits of ourselves in each one but more importantly, were very different than ourselves. It was a fun challenge!

L- I think fiction is always grounded a bit in reality. It’s important to draw things from our own world so that when readers dive into the pages, they don’t feel like they’re in such an unfamiliar place that they can’t connect at all. In this one, we both threw little elements of ourselves and our worlds into the crew of the Marauder, and there are TONS of easter eggs along the way (our dogs’ names are even in there!)

If you could pick actors to play the Crew, who would it be?

L & S: the cast of the 100 :0

What was your favourite scene to write from either books?

S: In book 2, NEXUS, they encounter an ice dragon on Solera and it was SUCH an epic scene. I loved writing it because it was both horrifying and spectacular at the same time.

L- I love the Valen scenes from book two. They’re dark and mysterious, and so sad…but so visually interesting, and it was a blast to write.

Describe the Androma series in 5 words.

L– lots of blood in space

S: Blood. Friendship. SPACE. Love. Fear.

Finally, what are you currently reading?

L- The Vanishing Stair by Maureen Johnson!!

S: I’m currently reading a highly praised book called My Dark Vanessa By Kate Elizabeth Russell.
