New Book Releases to look forward to this Month

Posted April 27, 2020 by Emma in 2020 books, Booked-In, Bookish Post, UKYA, YA / 1 Comment

Hello my lovely readers, it’s a new week and soon to be a new month. This is part 2 of a similar post I did last month, Booked-In | My Top Releases this Spring – Part 1 . So today I thought I would bring all the YA and Fantasy Releases that I’m looking forward in end of April/May. I have to say that books have been a lifesaver during this lockdown, so I can’t wait to discover and promote loads more books. Authors need the support now more than ever so don’t forget to order online with Amazon, Book Depository, Hive and Waterstones (- this one is more reliable, so I’ve added their links at the end).

Top Releases Coming Out in this month

(in date order)

Seven Endless Forests | Book by April Tucholke | Official ...Clap When You Land by Elizabeth AcevedoWalker Books - BurnDangerous Remedy: Amazon.co.uk: Kat Dunn: Books

Good Girl, Bad Blood (A Good Girls Guide to Murder #2) by Holly Jackson | 30th April

Sequel to the bestselling and award winning debut YA from Holly Jackson, I can’t wait for this to be released into the world. The first book was my favourite mystery/thriller of 2019. I’m currently reading it and after today Pip will be taking over my blog on Wednesday and Saturday, so make sure you stop by those posts. | Waterstones

Seven Endless Forests by April Tucholke | 30th April

This is my Book Box Club featured read of April and I can’t wait to read it. The cover is gorgeous and I’ve heard nothing but amazing things from her previous book The Boneless Mercies. | Waterstones

Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo | May 5th

From the award winning Poet X, comes a brand new book in verse that I honestly can’t wait to read. It’s a form of writing I really need to read more of especially after Sarah Crossan’s books. When two girls, unaware of their relation with each are forced together when their father has died in a plane crash. | Waterstones

Burn by Patrick Ness | 7th May

I have this on my Kindle and I’ve heard nothing but brilliant things about this book. This is very different from what I’ve read of his in the past so I’m looking forward to this unique fantasy novel. | Waterstones

Dangerous Remedy by Kat Dunn | 7th May  DELAYED

I’ve seen this book across Twitter and Instagram and I’m most certainly intrigued so I requested it instantly. The first in a dazzling, commercial, historical adventure series set in the extravagant and deadly world of the French Revolution. A whirlwind of action, science and magic reveals, with a diverse cast of fearless heroines, a band of rebels like no other. | Waterstones

Date Me, Bryson KellerWonderland by Juno DawsonHideous Beauty: Amazon.co.uk: William Hussey: BooksCamp by L.C. Rosen - Penguin Books AustraliaRead with Pride: Book 2 (The Paper & Hearts Society) eBook: Powrie ...
There seems to be a lot of amazing Pride books coming out on the 28th May. So much choice where do you start.

Date Me, Bryson Keller by Kevin van Whye | 21st May

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before meets Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda in this irresistible LGBTQ+ rom com. I mean we all need this right now. | Waterstones

Wonderland by Juno Dawson | 28th May

A brand new novel bringing the class Alice in Wonderland story to whole new level. A modernised exploration of mental health, gender, privilege and understanding yourself. I also have this one on my kindle too, I haven’t read many from Juno so I’m excited to read it. | Waterstones

Hideous Beauty by William Hussey | 28th May

I follow William on Twitter and I’ve been so excited for this book since the cover reveal at YALC. It sounds like a pulse pounding debut about two people’s secret relationship, outed on social media and the effects it can have on you. | Waterstones

CAMP by Lev A.C. Rosen | 28th May

Author of Jack of Heart (and other parts) comes a comical novel that critiques the culture of toxic masculinity within the queer community. | Waterstones

Read With Pride (The Paper and Hearts Society #2) by Lucy Powrie | 28th May

I can’t wait for the next book the Paper Hearts series by Lucy. If you haven’t read the first, it will honestly fulfil your bookish heart and you just want to hug the book. A bookclub, lgbtq+ representation and fighting to be heard. I’ve already pre-ordered my copy, have you? | Waterstones
