Would You Rather? Book Tag

Posted June 1, 2020 by Emma in Book tag / 6 Comments

Hello my lovely bookworms! I was tagged by the lovely Amy from amysbookishlife to do the Would You Rather Tag. I don’t do enough of these tags, I need to do more. I’m excited for you to see the questions that Amy has asked me, these have really got me thinking that’s for sure. I’m not very good at creating questions so lets see shall we.

The Rules

1. Answer the questions given to you by your nominator

2. Make your own questions and tag others

Would you Rather…

1. Would you rather read a book where the page was missing or a book where the author doesn’t know the difference between there, their, and they’re?

Read a book with there, their and they’re for me. I’ve read a book with a missing page and it annoyed me so much. I had this confused look on my face for ages. It was important as well from what I can gather. Ha.

2. Would you rather have dinner with your favourite author or your favourite character?

I would have dinner with my favourite author, as they are the creators of all of my favourite characters so it’s like being inside all of their heads.

3. Would you rather be in a fantasy book or a dystopian book?

Fantasy without a doubt. I love the escapism and the various worlds that we create.

4. Would you rather wait five years for the final instalment in a series or get it now, but must read every spoiler before you can start reading it?

Wait Five Years I think. I can’t stand spoilers. But I do have a habit of buying the next book int he series and not reading it for ages. Like the Throne of Glass book for example.

5. Would you rather read a book with no page numbers or no chapter numbers?

No page numbers. I don’t mind this as I turn this option off on my Kindle. But I do love chapter numbers especially when they are designed so beautifully as well.

6. Would you rather live in your favourite fictional world for a day or be able to or be able to visit that fictional world whenever you want but only as an observer?

I think I would visit the fictional world whenever as an observer. We do this in books anyways, so I would be content going anytime. Plus a day is cruel, you can never visit again and I couldn’t make friends or find my book boyfriend. I could imagine me observing from the highest point and relaxing this world.

7. Would you rather read a novel based on a true story of someone you know or a fictional novel where a character is based on you?

Fictional novel where the character is based on you. I live for these books all the time, just to have a book that accepts you.

8. Would you rather volunteer as tribute for someone you love in the Hunger Games or have someone you love volunteer to take your place?

I would volunteer as tribute for someone I love definitely. I’m know Katniss, but I couldn’t live with myself if the person I love sacrificed themselves. Although they would feel the same I guess.

9. Would you rather own a signed edition or a first edition?

The first edition because if I go to an event I can then get it signed. See what I did there.

10. Would you rather only read your favourite genre for the rest of your life or every genre but your favourite?

See this is a tough one, I like to dip in and out of different genres I’m not a fan of one all the time as I most likely fall into a reading slump. So I think every genre but my favourite.

My Questions are…

  1. Would you rather wait to buy the your favourite series/book in an edition that matches on your bookshelf or read the book in any edition because your desperate to read it?
  2. Would you rather read a series as they come out or wait until all books have been published to binge read them?
  3. Would you rather finish the late library book with 50 pages left and pay the £100 fine for being overdue and you can’t borrow it again, or return before the due date?
  4. Would you rather be in Adarlan (Throne of Glass) or Prythian (A Court of Thorns and Roses)?
  5. Would you rather read 3 300 pages books or 1 beast book of 900 pages?
  6. Would you rather be a Cullen (Edward) or a Quileute (Jacob)?
  7. Would you rather read the book or watch the movie first?
  8. Would you rather have rewarded a lifetime worth of books or a lifetime of time reading books?
  9. Would you rather read a hyped book and avoid spoilers or wait and be susceptible to spoilers?
  10. Would you rather be in the tv adaption of your favourite book or the fictional world of your favourite book?

  1. Oh, I love these questions and I love reading your answers to it. This WYR tag is just the best and I love seeing it pop up here. I laughed at your answer for signed/first edition, that is a smart one I hadn’t even thought of that. 😛 Great post~

  2. I’d definitely choose to live in a fantasy world over dystopian as well, I mean who would actually choose to live in a dystopian world over a fantasy one. I’m excited to answer the questions you’ve asked, thanks so much for tagging me! 😀

  3. I love your answers!!! ❤️✨ I would also volunteer as tribute if they choose someone I love, couldn’t live with myself otherwise & can you imagine visiting your favorite fictional world whenever you want? That would be SO cool, it would feel like watching a movie. 😍✨
Thanks for tagging me, beautiful, I can’t wait to answer your questions, it will be a lot of fun 🥰
