TTT

Top Ten Tuesday Is A Weekly Meme Hosted By The Lovely Ladies At The Artsy Reader Girl! Each Week, A New Topic Is Put Into Place And Bloggers Share Their Top Ten Accordingly.

Today I’m back with a TTT – I haven’t done one of these in ages and it’s the perfect opportunity to show my favourite books of my favourite genre. Yesterday I had a panic when thinking about this post. I didn’t know what genre to choose, it’s like choosing my…favourite food group. Sweet or Savoury etc. I love so many books across all genres, but since blogging I’ve read and disocvered different contemporaries that relate to life so much. So today I’m to sharing my Top Ten Contemporary Favourites – in no particluar order, I might like to add. You will see some ones that I have raved about.

The Paper and Hearts Society by Lucy Powrie – IT’S OUT NEXT WEEK!!!! Please pre-order your copy becuase this is an amazing debut novel from the lovely Lucy. It’s perfect for all booklovers. | My Review

Are We All Lemmings & Snowflakes? by Holly Bourne – I will not have a favoruite contempory list without the Queen of YA. | My Review

Summer Bird Blue by Akemi Dawn Bowman – Sisters. Grief. Platonic Friendship. Support. Love. Finding youself again, on your own. | My Review

Kick the Moon by Muhammad Khan – This book took me by surprise, diverse and giving a voice. It’s about finding your identity, standing up for what’s right and expressing yourself. | My Review

Theatrical by Maggie Harcourt – Full of emotion and beauty, for fans of theatre and those who haven’t been like me. It will make you fall in love with this story and Maggie’s writing. | My Review

Songs About A Girl by Chris Russell – I love this series. It’s more than being part of a band, it has everything you need in a novel, family, friendship, love, romance, music, truth, lies, and even a slice of mystery as well. Oh and so many laughs, I loved every second of it. | My Review

A Quiet Kind of Thunder by Sara Barnard – The winner of the YA Book Prize 2019 this year and rightly so. My favoruite will always be A Quiet Kind of Thunder, that book sang to me. | My Review

Paper Butterflies by Lisa Heathfield – This book made me cry so much. But it’s so raw and heartfelt and from the first page I was entranced. | My Review

I Stop Somewhere by T.E. Carter – Much like Paper Butterflies, this book is in a whole new dimension, it’s about surviving and speaking up. It raw and unforgvable but it’s a story that needs to be heard. | My Review

The Summer of Us by Cecilia Vinesse – I loved this one last year. A group of teenagers finding themselves, friends and travelling the world during one summer before University, before things change. | My Review

So, half way writing this post I changed from Fantasy to Contemporary as my favurite genre. It’s one I will always love as it encompasses so much.

Have You Read Any Of These? Loved them? Hated them? What are your favurite contempories. Let Me Know In The Comments And Link Me Up To Your TTT Post.
