Happy Halloween my bookish friends! I love this time of year, the nights have drawn in, heating is on, pumpkin is a light and I’m nice and cosy while writing this up. Whilst I don’t trick or treat anymore, I do have some very fond memories of going out on Halloween, I was going to post on top spooky reads, it then sort of turned into a bit of a book tag. I was inspired by Madame Writer, you can find the original post here. So I hope you enjoy!
Fondest Halloween Memory
My best friend and I used to go to the Halloween craft day at my local library, it was 50p each, and we would make our very own capes and hats. Obviously were were our own witches. We would then go to my friends house dinner, have cherryade that looked like blood or even some cola I remember and we would drop in some wiggly sweet worms on the side. Later we would go trick or treating down our road, I would always remember a particular house would give us a scotch egg *yuck* or an orange *double yuck*. I always turned them and say thank you whilst also thinking, where the sweets. Haha.
What is your favourite dress up on halloween?
I created my own one once, I was in a Doctor Who phase massively so i went as Davritch – so part Davros, part witch. I was very proud of myself.
Favourite Halloween creature
Vampire – without a doubt.
Favourite Halloween TV Show
Buffy the Vampire Slayer – Best TV Show Ever! Discovery of Witches a close second.
Favourite Halloween Legend
The legend of Sleepy Hollow. I’ve been fascinated with it ever since I read The Hollow by Jessica Verday. I need to watch the TV show as well. Has anyone else seen it?
Favourite Horror Film
A film I watch at this time of the year though is Practical Magic
I literally just watched this last night, Halloween (2018), the official sequel with Jamie Lee Curtis. Holy crap that scared me!!!
