Happy Friday my lovely bookworms. It’s the end of the week and the first week of June already. Today’s is another Let’s Talk Books, a feature I cohost with Emily A Short Book Lover. A weekly series where we are highlighting particular books (Teen/YA/ Adult etc) coming out during this time, that we will review, or get bookish content from authors and so much more.

Today’s post for me is all about books that I’m looking forward to their release and to reading. I decided to pick a few books that I think might not be on your radar that are coming out in June. I’m extremely lucky to have received copies of these from publishers and I wanted to shout about.

These 3 books are…

Let’s Talk Books #5 – 3 Books that might not be on your radar this MonthMusic From Another World by Robin Talley

It’s summer 1977 and closeted lesbian Tammy Larson can’t be herself anywhere. Not at her strict Christian high school, not at her conservative Orange County church and certainly not at home, where her ultrareligious aunt relentlessly organizes antigay political campaigns. Tammy’s only outlet is writing secret letters in her diary to gay civil rights activist Harvey Milk…until she’s matched with a real-life pen pal who changes everything.
Sharon Hawkins bonds with Tammy over punk music and carefully shared secrets, and soon their letters become the one place she can be honest. The rest of her life in San Francisco is full of lies. The kind she tells for others—like helping her gay brother hide the truth from their mom—and the kind she tells herself. But as antigay fervor in America reaches a frightening new pitch, Sharon and Tammy must rely on their long-distance friendship to discover their deeply personal truths, what they’ll stand for…and who they’ll rise against.
A master of award-winning queer historical fiction, New York Times bestselling author Robin Talley once again brings to life with heart and vivid detail an emotionally captivating story about the lives of two teen girls living in an age when just being yourself was an incredible act of bravery.

Okay so I didn’t realise this is already out, but I just received this yesterday in the post and it’s one of those books that I think will be a supper fun, summery type read. Perfect for Pride month too.

A swoon-worthy story of first love, making mistakes and finding out who you are, from the author of Night Owls.
Budding photographer Josie Saint-Martin has spent half her life with her single mother, moving from city to city. When they return to her historical New England hometown to run the family bookstore, Josie knows it's not forever, so there's no reason to change her modus operandi—keeping to herself, dreaming of the day she can leave.
But after a disastrous summer party, a poorly executed act of revenge lands her in big-time trouble. As in, jail...alongside the last person with whom she’d want to share a mugshot: the son of the boat mechanic across the street, Lucky Karras. Outsider, rebel…and her former childhood best friend.
Josie and Lucky become the talk of their coastal small town. But during a summer of secrets, everything changes, and the easy friendship they once shared grows into something deeper and more complicated. Can Josie and Lucky swim past obstacles that come with rough waters, or will they both go down together?

Jenn Bennett is the perfect author for those summer romances and reads. I would personally recommend these if you love Morgan Matson or Emery Lord.

A perfect summer beach read for fans of Holly Smale and Jenny Han.

I loved Love, Secret Santa, S.A. Domingo’s debut book and I can’t wait for this one. This is also a new book to add to your list for POC. It’s out at the end of the month.

I’m loving the colours of the covers on this post!

Let’s Talk….Will you add these books to your TBR!? I will let you know what they are like this month.

Check out Emily’s review of Wonderland on her blog for her Let’s Talk Books post.
