Posted June 19, 2020 by Emma in Book tag, Let's Talk Books / 3 Comments

Happy Friday my fellow bookworms. I’m super excited for the weekend. Guess who has bought her first proper bookcase!? ME! It’s coming on Sunday morning and I’ll be spending the afternoon putting it together. Eeek be prepared for a updated bookshelf tour. 😁

So every Friday, myself and Emily from A Short Book Lover post a weekly feature Let’s Talk Books and we thought we do something a little different, by creating our own book tag with our feature as the main theme. A book tag created by us! I’m so excited as I always wanted to create one and we did! It’s all about showcasing lockdown and upcoming book releases. So we hope you enjoy it.

Let’s Talk Books Book Tag

The hyped book you can’t wait to read

The Court of Miracles (The Court of Miracles Trilogy, Book 1 ...

The Court of Miracles is the only book I see these days and I have a slight hunch it will be in a certain book box coming up, so I can’t wait to read my copy.

The important book you’ve read (or on your TBR)

The Manifesto on How to be Interesting: Amazon.co.uk: Holly Bourne ...

The Manifesto on How to be Interesting by Holly Bourne. It will always be my first important read I’ve ever read and it’s the author, Holly Bourne that opened my eyes to so much. She is the Queen of YA.

An upcoming book by a LGBTQ+ author you’re really hyped for

Fin & Rye & Fireflies - Black & White Publishing

I have a couple that I’m looking foward to, all of which I have mentioned once or twice across my channels. So I’m going with Fin & Rye & Fireflies by Harry Cook – just look at the cover! 😍

A book on your TBR that you will think will be a 5 star read

45714170. sy475

I haven’t read many dragon books and after Steph from Bookslovereaders loved the book. It’s also the Book Box Club pick so I can’t wait.

The book hangover book (recently)

It has to be The Paper and Heart’s Society – Read With Pride. Lucy’s books always comes from the heart and you can feel that. I did!

An upcoming book by a Black author you’re really hyped for

The Black Kids by Christina Hammonds Reed

I just received this book this week, I can’t wait to read it. Enough said really I think.

The book you’d recommend everyone read

So I could choose a lot of books to recommend but after read the best fantasy sequel this year. You need to read Viper by Bex Hogan if you haven’t already.

The book that surprised you recently

This was one of the creepiest books I’ve ever read. So if you want to be chilled to bones with your hairs standing on end this summer. Then pick this book. It’s next month.

An upcoming book by a POC author you’re really hyped for

Mark My Words was meant to come out this year, but due to the situation its delayed until next year. But anything Muhammad Khan is an auto-buy, author to look out for with me.

A book you think would make a great film or TV series

Steel Tide (Seafire Book 2) eBook: Parker, Natalie C.: Amazon.co ...

So I’m going to pick my most recent review, Seafire as Steeltide the sequel is coming out next month. This would be a box office hit.

I tag:

Steph from BooksLoveReaders

Hâf from Library Looter

Emma from The Bookworm Girl

We really hope you enjoyed our book tag. Please feel free to tag yourself, we would love to see your answers. Check out Emily’s answers over on her blog.

Revamped Feature | Let’s Talk YA #1

Hello my Bookish Friends. It’s Friday! Yay! What better way to kick off than with a old feature but revamped for 2020. Let’s Talk YA started with my co-host Emily from A Short Book Lover. It’s all about talking books rather than just liking and Retweeting posts. So today I’m kicking it off again and this time it will be about any book we’ve ever loved. It could be an old favourite. A forgotten book and not just UKYA. We are mixing it up. So this will be a weekly feature unless I have something else planned. So welcome to […]

Let’s Talk YA #3 – True Friendship, Love, & Hope

Emily from A Short Book Lover and I have created a weekly feature called Let’s Talk YA. – a weekly feature simply to just share and talk about the books you love. So our posts will all be centered around amazing UKYA authors. You can see the pattern here that a lot of the author and books I’m picking are the ones that really left an impression on me and are likely to be their first book, their debut that set them on that journey. This week’s author is Non Pratt and her book Trouble. I was reminded by this book […]
