Hello my bookish friends. I didn’t post on Monday as I was pretty knackered from building my bookcase on Sunday. So today I’m bring you another one of my famous top 5 lists as parted of my Booked-In series. This time I’m revisiting and reminiscing some old favourites, books I wish I could open that book for the first time again and be immersed into the world. These books opened a whole new world of literature for me. There is so many books out there it can be overwhelming. So I’m going back to where my reading really began for me.

My top 5 books I want to read for the first time again!

10 Most Popular Book Series – BASIS ROAR

The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer

With the release of Midnight Sun I’m excited to revisit the series that pretty much dominated my teenage years. I love the books, the movies, the Cullens vs the Quileutes, the Volturi. I’m undoubtedly Team Edward I’d like to point out. I need to reread these books, but it’s not quite the same as the first time reading them.

The Infernal Devices'? BBC should save 'Shadowhunters' instead

The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare

So this is quite strange but this is the only series that I’ve loved of Cassandra Clare. It was before the time of being overwhelmed with books and fantasy series. It was new and different and she wasn’t as hyped as she is now. The thought of a reading a beast book didn’t phase me and I loved the covers especially The Clockwork Princess. Now I haven’t finished another of her series and I really want too.

The Manifesto on How to be Interesting: Amazon.co.uk: Holly Bourne ...

The Manifesto on How to be Interesting by Holly Bourne

The book that made me fall in love with Holly’s books and writing. The author that will be my ultimate favourite author. The book that changed my life and where I finally felt understood. She inspired me, I feel Holly’s books has shaped me as a reader as well.

Vampire Academy Series - books are love.

Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead

A series that I devoured after Twilight. I was introduced to the book with the preorder of The Twilight Companion (yes I really was quite the vampire fan) I devoured the book and I continued the rest of the series. Dimitri and Rose. My heart for them and their journey was just horrible, reminded me of Buffy and Angel.

Review : The Grisha Series | The Infinite Curio

Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

Formally known as The Gathering Dark. I read this 6/7 years ago and I won it in my first book giveaway on Twitter. Between Cassandra Clare and Leigh Bardugo, this was when fantasy really kicked in YA. When YA had a place in literature. I got first look into a world where I never wanted to escape. Yet I haven’t read King of Scars or Six of Crows yet.

I want to revisit all of these books again. When writing this post, I feel like when I read these books I was so new to the world of books and YA and I felt truly entranced by them. Now I feel so overwhelmed by it sometimes, don’t you!? There is so many books, it’s too much sometimes.

So what books would you love to read for the first time again. Share yours in the comments or in a post. I’d love to see.

  1. Shadow And Bone is on my TBR. Might purchase it next month. The others, not so much. I think if I had to reread a book again it would be 100 Days Of Sunlight by Abbie Emmons.
