First of all I want to wish you all a Happy New Year! It’s 2022 and I honestly don’t know where 2021 has been.

I’m writing this post 3 months after my last one. Let’s just say for me 2021 I have been notoriously absent from the book world. It’s been probably been the worst book blogging and books read year but believe me there has been plenty going on that has kept me occupied.

I thought I would give you a bit of a life update I guess. The last time I did that was August and since then A LOT has happened…

I MOVED TO MY FIRST HOME!

We moved in October and it’s been a whirlwind of craziness I guess. I’m not entirely sure how to explain it, but since then it’s been about building our home, decorating it and most of all having a new routine with work and also my family too. It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions but I feel writing this right now, that we are finally settled and absolutely loving our home.

I also have a library room which has probably been our pride and joy to decorate with floor to ceiling bookshelves, reading chair and figuring our what organisation to put my books. Stay tuned for a Library Room tour as I can’t wait to show you all.

But here’s a little sneak peak to quench your bookish thirst.

Some other 2021 highlights….

Starting my own marketing business was a very proud and courageous move to do that. Whilst I would say I’ve got a long way to go on it, I am making sure in 2022 I am persevering and not giving up. Just starting your own business is a HUGE move.

Finishing my driving lessons… I completed them but due to a waitlist I am now waiting to do the theory and physical test which will be next year and then more freedom and no more public transport. Whoop!

2021 has probably been my most life changing and one I am very proud of especially in these times. I feel 2022 will be the cherry on top where everything that happened this year will just fit together perfectly.

So here’s to 2022 and the beginning of what I hope to be a very good year life and bookishly. Stay tuned as I start to share my top book, goals for 2022 and more!
