Happy Friday my lovely bookworms. It’s been a while since I last posted. Today I broke up for the summer holidays and I’m excited for 6 weeks off. It’s been much needed and a very long school year. So be prepared for more reading and posts. I’ve got some exciting things planned.
Anyways, update aside today I am ending the blog tour for The King of the Dead by Benjamin Dean. Ben is known for his Middle Grade book – Me, My Dad and the End of the Rainbow. Now, he has released his first YA book and all I’ve heard is AMAZING things about it. Due to end of term of craziness, I was unable to get to this book so I am starting my summer holidays with this very book.
So as part of the tour I am bringing you a spotlight, first let me describe the book in 5 words…
Black LGBTQ+
Royalty
Love
Scandal
Acceptance
It has it all!

Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda meets The Inheritance Games in this Black LGBTQ+ royal romp full of heart-swooning romance, scandalous secrets and one hell of a mystery.
James has been a prince all of his life, and since he was born, he's been thrust into the spotlight as the first Black heir to the throne. But when his father unexpectedly dies, James is crowned king at seventeen. Now, the secrets he could keep as a prince with no real responsibility - namely, his sexuality and hidden relationship - are rocked as his life irrevocably changes.
When his boyfriend suddenly goes missing, the royal secrets and scandals that only he knows start to leak online. And when it becomes clear that whoever is behind the messages isn't going to stop anytime soon, James begins to question everyone around him .
So look out for my review next week as I can’t wait to read this one. Thank you to Simon YA for sending me a copy in an exchange for a review and part on the blog tour.
Have a wonderful bookish weekend all.
