Evening all, I can’t believe January has gone and now we are in February tomorrow and I still haven’t shared my most anticipated new releases of 2023. So better late than never. Two of them in them have already been released but these were my highly anticipated ones, one of which I’ve nearly finished. My goal is to read each and every one of them. There’s a few familar faces for sure. So lets head straight to it…

The Stolen Heir by Holly Black
Since reading for the first time The Folk of the Air series last year, I love that series so at least I didn’t have long to wait for The Stolen Heir. I’m also pleased to say that it lived it everything I’ve read already and more. I loved being back in the world of Elfhame even though I hadn’t left it that long.

Hell Bent by Leigh Bardugo
If your like me you would have been wait for this sequel for a very long time. I again read Ninth House a little later than others but I really loved it and couldn’t wait for this. I recieved this book at the beginning of January and I’m saving it for Feb half term. I’ll let you know how I get on…

The Crimson Fortress by Akshaya Raman
If you remember last year, The Ivory Key was my first read of 2022 and a 5 star read. I am very excited to get back into the vivid storytelling of this world.

Bitterthorn by Kat Dunn
I am new reader of Kat and I’ve absolutely loved her Dangerous Remedy series. I have kindly been gifted an early copy, a sapphic gothic romance and I can’t wait to read it. The cover was just released this week and it’s looks gorgeous.

Lies We Sing to the Sea by Sarah Underwood
I got an early look at this at an event from Electric Monkey event and I’ve been so excited about this book for a while. The cover is stunning and I can’t wait to read it.

Queen of Gods by Kate & Liz Corr
I’m a huge fan of the Corr sisters since reading and loving The Witch’s Kiss series. Every book they’ve written I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all of them. Daughter of Darkness, was a brilliant greek mytholgy YA and I can’t wait to visit that world again.

Now we are coming to the books that haven’t had their covers revealed…

Heartstopper #5 by Alice Oseman
I finally hoping we have a date for this final book in the Heartstopper series. Also as a new reader to the series, of which I’m slightly obessed by especially with the TV show, I need this last book. Who else is waiting for it?

You Could Be So Pretty by Holly Bourne
It wouldn’t be my most anticipated reads without a book from my favourite author especially a YA book. This particualr book of Holly’s seems a lot to different to her others and I’m really excited for this one.

One of us is Back by Karen McManus
The author that started the teen mysteries that everyone loves which now comes to an end. I really love these books and I think they’ve inspired a lot of my other favourites too so I can’t wait for this one.

New Katherine Arden Book *I think*
No title, no date… I believe it’s this year but I am looking forward to this one alot. The Winternight Trilogy is one of favourite adult fantasy series and I adore her writing so much.

What are your most anticipated reads of 2023?

Let me know in the comments.
