Hello my lovely bookworms, we are so close to Christmas now and I’m officially off for the Christmas break. I’m so excited. Last week I published part 2 of my bookish gifts recommendations so this weekend I thought I would share 5 books that are perfect gifts.
These featured books are more niche and special gifts, they are book that I felt inspired and simply adored. So I hope these will help as a last minute gifts for this festive season or for any occasion.
Live Like A Goddess: Life Lessons from Legends and Lore by Jean Menzies
What a wonderful, inspiring and empowering book. You know when you pick something up and you read it at the right time. Well that’s what happened with book. This was such a surprise of a book and I hadn’t really realised that it was Non-Fiction as well. YA doesn’t have many in this genre and I simply adored it.
The Hunger Games: Illustrated Edition by Suzanne Collins, Illustrated by Nico Delors
I have this on my Christmas list and I’m excited to see this classic YA brought as an illustrated edition. There is something special about these books that make them a keeper and book to face out on the shelves.
There are other illustrated editions for example Harry Potter series which I have gifted every year when the new one comes out.
Enter the Fairy Realm – Faedom by Monod-Gayraud & White
I received this a couple of months ago and I loved how nostalgic this book made me feel. It reminded me of the love I felt as a child when I used to read anything and everything faery related. I feel this is a beautiful, illustrated and curated encyclopaedia of the world of faeries that every child who believes in magic should own.
How the King of Elfhame Learned to Hate Stories by Holly Black
The perfect gift for fans of fantasy fiction. I adore Holly Black The Folk of the Air series and I think companion books like this one that shares individual stories of characters you miss and love is perfect. These books are rarely in paperback as they are special extension of the beloved series.
For the classic fans – The Minalima Classics
Whilst I am not a classics fan I do have a small collection of the Minalima classics on my bookshelf. They are simply stunning, they bring the classic story to life in a imaginative, bright and creative way. They have pop-up and interactive pages that is more for an older audience but you still have so much fun with in. I feel for any classic fan you can’t not have a few multiple edition of beloved stories of the past. My particular favourite is Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
