Posted March 30, 2020 by Emma in 2020 books, Booked-In, Bookish Post, LGBTQ+, Seasonal Reads, UKYA, YA / 2 Comments

Hello my bookish friends, happy Monday, hope you had a good weekend and you and your families are well. Back in January I started a new Seasonal Reads post where I spilt up all the most anticipated reads of the year in seasons. It’s Spring but also we are living in an upside down world where authors have books coming out and they struggling as they have no launch events. My first top tip in my Booked-In post was –

PRE-ORDERING/ORDERING FROM WATERSTONES OR INDEPENDENT BOOK STORES TO DELIVER TO HOME.

So this post is PART 1 as there is so many, featuring all of the books that have recently come out to middle of April. I’ve done it in release order.  Each will have a link to Waterstones and Amazon (if they are still delivering) where you can order and get them straight to your house.

My Top Releases this Spring

Anna. K by Jenny Lee

Anna Karenina in a modern day retelling. Every happy teenage girl is the same, while every unhappy teenage girl is miserable in her own special way. | Waterstones

The new adult book from Holly Bourne. Again you know she is my favourite author, and I honestly can’t wait for another adult novel like How Do You Like Me Now. | Waterstones

The Pieces of Ourselves by Maggie Harcourt

(Currently Reading) – a unique story from one of my favourite authors. Theatrical is one of my comfort reads I mentioned last week and this is certainly what I need. | Waterstones

Written in a verse, Kerry explore the haunting tragedy of Hiroshima through a teenager and his grandfather’s memories. | Waterstones

The Austen Girls by Lucy Worsley

This will be my first historical read by Lucy. But I know her by reputation in the historical society and her books are brilliant. | Waterstones

Chosen Ones by Veronica Roth

A brand new series from the author of Divergent. Do you need any more than that. | Waterstones

Venom by Bex Hogan

Sequel to Viper, my favourite fantasy of last year without a doubt. I honeslty can’t wait to read this. I need it like, NOW. | Waterstones

Rules for Being a Girl by Candace BushnellThe Eve Illusion - Eve of Man Trilogy (Hardback)

Rules for Being a Girl by Candace Bushnell and Katie Cotugno

I read 99 Days by Katie ages ago and loved it. This time she’s teamed up with Candace author of Sex and the City and created a fierce and feisty exploration of feminism, standing up yourself and rewriting your own rules. | Waterstones

Illusion of Eve by Giovanni and Tom Fletcher

Sequel to Eve of Man. This has been a long awaited sequel for me. Over 2 years and it’s finally here. I’ve already pre-ordered mine! | Waterstones

So many amazing books and there is still more to come that I can’t wait. Make sure you support authors and order their books online. I can’t wait to read them all.
