Hi Everyone! I’m finally getting round to doing my Wrap-up of April and we are well and truly into May now. It was this time last month when I was looking forward to my holiday and now it’s over. However, now we are starting to plan our next adventure. Easter holidays are over and I’m back to work in the last term. Crazy! April has been a very successful month for me both on the blog and reading. It was a month that I really enjoyed every single book. I also found TWO favourite books of the year too!

I’m also trying to cut off all devices off by a certain time and just read for at least an hour before bed to try to cut-off and relax. It’s been working, not only am I reading more but I feel like I get more sleep and feel better when I wake up. Before we head into my plans of May here is my round-up of April.

Books Read this Month – Oh my goodness I read 6 books!!

Viper by Bex Hogan – 5/5

Mera: Tidebreaker by Danielle Paige – 4/5

The Boy Who Steals Houses by C.J. Drews – 5/5

Summer Bird Blue by Akemi Dawn Bowman – 5/5

LOVE and Other Things to Live For by Louise Leverett – 3.5/5

The Paper and Hearts Society by Lucy Powrie – 5/5

Book(s) of the Month

I couldn’t pick between these two but without a doubt these are not only the best books of the month but also the whole year. They both different in their own way but absolutely heart-wrenching, and powerful books of the literary world. This for me a my personal record this year. I’m immensely proud of myself. May I don’t think will be as good.

Books Reviewed

Two Can Keep a Secret by Karen M. McManus

A Girl Called Shameless by Laura Steven

Summer Bird Blue by Akemi Dawn Bowman

Mera: Tidebreaker by Danielle Paige

Viper by Bex Hogan – BEST FANTASY OF THE YEAR!

LOVE and Other Things to Live For by Louise Leverett

Books Gifted – Thank you lovely publishers

I’ve been very lucky this month with my selection of books gifted to me. It’s clear right now that my book trolley is now over-full. Ha. These are some very highly anticipated books and I can’t wait to read every single one. There seems to be an awful lot of summer bright colours too.

May TBR

A variety of different books this month. I’m also reading A Good Girls Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson which is amazing! I know I won’t be as successful as last month, but that’s not the point. The point is to enjoy what you are reading however long it takes you.

We also begin May with a brand new design to the blog and theme. I’m a type of person who constantly loves to update everything, both at work and personally. Sometimes I just get a bit bored. So after discovering the app Procreate on the iPad (courtesy of Jenn – thanks) I’ve made this header that I’m absolutely in love with. I have also bought a new WP theme and the UBB from Nose Graze, so I’m looking forward to more organised reviews on my blog. What do you think?

THAT’S IT! It was quite the long post! Phew!

But I hope you enjoyed reading and love the new design.

Do you have A Wrap-Up Post? Or looking forward to any of these Books? What’s on your TBR this month? Let me know in the comments.
