Happy Friday my lovely readers. It’s been a while since I have wrapped a month of reading. Like always work and life have been a bit hectic for me. BUT April was a very good month for reading. As I say in the title – it’s certainly my best yet.
I think I have 3 five star reads and I read 2 of my most anitcpated reads of 2024. I was exceptionally lucky to get a pre-proof of one of my favourite underrated authors as well and his second book is amazing. I can’t wait for you to read it.
I bet the suspense is killing you so here is my monthly wrap-up…
April Reads
BOOK OF THE MONTH
Oof, this is a hard one but I think the most unique and the one I can’t stop thinking about is Find Me After by A.Connors.
This isn’t out till July and I was lucky to recieve a pre-proof. So please do read it when it comes out I beg you.
On the Blog
Unfortuately not much happened on the blog this month but I did post a brilliant review and interview so go check them out. Look out for more this month.
I haven’t set a TBR but these books I’ve recently recieved and I’m so excited for all of them. Eeek.
Never Judge a Book Club
So since my last update we have read Better than the Movies by Lynn Painter and this month we are finishing the epic YA Dystopian, The Things We left Behind. All of us have loved it and I am also hosting a Readathon to my bookclubbers if you would like to join.
So that is my monthly wrap up. It was a good month wouldn’t you say. Let me know what books you read or which one was your favourite. Happy Reading!
Hello my lovely readers, today I’m wrapping up the first month of 2024 and what a brilliant month it was. I read not one but TWO 5 stars reads already, I started my first YA book club and I have received lots of amazing ARCS from publishers that I’m so excited to read. My ins for 2024 is to be myself, enjoy life and what I read and I have really tried to prioritise my well-being, switching off from work and doing what I love which is all bookish related. I’ve loved reading, blogging and bookstagramming. So shall we get […]
Good evening bookworms. It’s May and finally the sun is shining here in the UK. Are we finally getting our spring weather? I really hope so, makes us feel so much better, I do love the warmer months. So this is my first wrap up of the year… it’s been a unusual start to the year with being quite unwell for half of it, work taking over my life and not really reading at all. But this April I have prioritised my well-being, my mental health and that in turn means I read loads more. Woohoo. May it continue… get […]
Happy August my friends! I can’t believe how quickly this year is going and I’m on my summer holidays so I know that it will fly by – it always does then we’ll be in September and talking about Christmas very soon. The last time I did a wrap up post it was April and I said I had the best reading month. Well I’ve beaten that and I’m so happy. I think with the horrible UK heatwave a few weeks ago, all I did was read as I was too hot to sleep. I would also say that this […]
Happy Weekend my lovely readers. It’s been a week since my last post – [Insert post] – it’s been quite a busy week at work and lots of travel disruptuon as well so I’ve been getting home pretty late and super tired. But I’m here today and that’s the main thing. Today I’m bringing you my first (oh dear) wrap up of the 2022! I can’t believe I haven’t done one but I think it’s largely down to not reading much at all and I felt it wasn’t worth it. As you can see from the title of my post […]
Hello my lovely readers, and we are now the third day into February. I can’t believe the first month of 2021 has already gone by, I think lockdown has made the first month weirdly long but not if that makes sense. It’s kind of passes us by. But what I loved about this month especially is that I set myself up some great reading goals and I can say that I have certainly accomplished them. This sets a strong precedence from the rest of the year. It’s giving me this positive mindset to reading that I’m absolutely loving. Last month […]
Hello my lovely bookworms, it’s been a while since my last monthly wrap up post. I think the reason being is because reading has been a struggle the last couple of months. Since my last monthly wrap up post I was saying how I wanted to read and not blog as I didn’t have the brain power or inspiration because of work. Now it’s the complete opposite, the last month has been more blogging and very little reading. But now I think I’ve conquered it back to both. I’m excited because if you are reading this then you may notice […]
Helllllllloooooooo everyone. I haven’t been around, how are we all? I’ve missed you and posting on my blog. It’s been nearly over 3 weeks since I last posted. The reason mainly was work. I’m back to working as a school librarian after 6 months off, the constant thinking and over thinking was certainly draining and I just wanted to read and not blog. I found it difficult as I lacked the inspiration and brain power to come up or start writing some posts. BUT I’M BACK!! So this will be a month and half worth of a wrap-up post, including […]
Happy Monday my lovely readers. It’s August, where is time going?! 2020 is just whizzing away, sometimes I can’t seem to catch up especially as I write another monthly wrap-up for July. In June I suffered the reading slump, which I hated immensely but July took a turn for the best and I got my reading mojo back. Yay! It’s another month, I always feel like it’s a do over of reading and choosing my books for the month. I love it. The middle of July also saw the beginning of my summer holidays as I work in a school. […]
