Diving into my Summer Reading – Ten books I’m looking forward to reading!

Hello Friends, Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I couldn’t be at YALC this weekend which is really sad by hope you all had a book-tastic time! I’m going to clear the calendar out next year so I’m free.

The benefits of working in a school is the holidays, I’m now on my summer holidays for 6 weeks. Which is very much needed. I feel as a librarian I don’t read enough – I know shock horror. This week with the readathon – The Reading Rush I’ve read 3 books. That 2 more than normal as I’m so tired after work that I just don’t much. So these holidays really help with tackling that all consuming TBR. So I thought I would share my Summer Reads*.

*subject to change with all the fabulous YA books coming out.

Jelly by Clare Rees – This sounds  so funny and unique. Escaping a killer jelly fish. What could be better. Plus Clare is coming to my school in September so I can’t wait.

No BIG Deal by Bethany Rutter – I’m currently reading this and absolutely loving it.

Take a Chance on Me by Beth Garrod – The perfect summer read. Anything by Beth will lighten any day of the summer. It’s a auto-author of Summer Reads.

American Royals by Katharine McGee – I loved The Thousandth Floor series and this is something different.

The Million Pieces of Neena Gill by Emma Smith-Barton – How can I hold myself together, when everything around me is falling apart? – This sounds like an incredible book and I can’t wait to get to it.

The Stolen Ones by Vanessa Curtis – This one is on a special librarian reading list that I get every year. This one has been on my radar but I haven’t got a copy until now. This one sounds so different.

Lock Every Door by Riley Sager – Every year a new Riley Sager book comes out and it’s the only adult author I seem to read these days. His book are just so suspenseful and a tiny bit scary.

Dead Popular by Sue Wallman – This will be my first Sue Wallman book! I know where have I been but my students have loved all of her books and I can’t wait to read them.

Unleashed (Jinxed #2) by Amy McCulloch – I loved Jinxed last year and I got to meet Amy earlier this year and ever since her teaser at the S&S Book Brunch I can’t wait to read it.

The Smoke Thieves and The Demon World by Sally Green – A series that I want to read desperately. The covers are gorgeous and I need another fantasy series to sink into.

These book are on the top of my TBR… these will change know doubt. But I’m hoping to read more than 10 books this summer and I’m so excited. I’m on holiday on Saturday so I will probably share my holiday TBR on my Instagram and Twitter. So be sure to stop by there.

What are you reading this summer?
