Top Ten Tuesday Is A Weekly Meme Hosted By The Lovely Ladies At The Artsy Reader Girl! Each Week, A New Topic Is Put Into Place And Bloggers Share Their Top Ten Accordingly.

Ah I love this theme this week. As a librarian I’m always excited by my summer reading … why because I get 6 weeks off. The benefits of working in a school. Although I admit I probably have more than 10 books on my TBR. It’s all the books I never get too and more. Also as a school librarian we have a long list to read too for our borough book award. So I have quite the reading list. But here are my Top 10…

Take a Chance on Me by Beth Garrod – this is the second time I’ve mentioned Beth’s new book on a TTT. But Beth’s book is the perfect summer read and I can’t wait to read some awkward, fun and lighthearted read. Just the cover makes me smile.

No Big Deal by Bethany Rutter – another book I’m saving until the summer.

Serious Moonlight by Jenn Bennett – cover and romance and bookish friendship. What could be better.

How Do You Like Me Now? by Holly Bourne – her adult book that has been on my shelf since it came out. I know it’s a brilliant book from the raving reviews so I’m looking forward to some downtime and this book.

The Kingdom by Jess Rothenberg – a blog tour book for the summer and one I honestly can’t wait to read.

Okay I’m finding this a lot harder than I thought.

A Conjuring of Light by V.E. Schwab – I loved A Darker Shade of Magic, which isn’t a shock in the blogging community. It is so good. This is a series I’m looking forward to continuing in-between some summer romances.

The Extinction Trails: Rebel by S.M. Wilson – there is a few series I want to continue/finish and I can’t believe I’ve waited this long to read this book. And I’m quoted in it. Amazing.

Birthday by Meredith Russo – I’ve set this book as my student’s summer reading for the older years. The sprayed edges and the amazing Pr campaign that Usborne are doing. I can’t wait to read this – this also continue by LGBTQ+ book bucket list

American Royals by Katherine McGee – One of my books I’m looking forward ahead of it’s publication in September. Sounds amazing!

Love Simon (Simon vs the Homosapiens Agenda) by Becky Albertali – I’m really trying to read a lot of my bucket list. Plus I’d really love to watch the movie this summer.

I will probably do a post about my summer reading and even a challenge as well closer to my summer holidays so stay tuned for that. I would love to know your summer TBR. Leave me your TTT link below and I will come and visit. Any books on my list you are looking to read? Let me know in the comments.

  1. I like the look of The Kingdom and A Conjuring of Light. I’m a teacher so definitely looking forward to the summer holidays when I can do some serious reading!

  2. I’m reading A Darker Shade of Magic right now and I hope to move through the series this summer. Hope you enjoy all of these!

  3. Haven’t heard of most of these, so I’ll definitely have to check them out! Good luck with your summer TBR! I’m such a mood-reader that I find it hard to actually follow the TBRs I set up. Oops.

    xx, bree

  4. The kingdom is really good! I read it this month with a friend and I loved it! Though it does take some getting used to.
