Hello Book Friends, Today I’m back at work, after 6 wonderful weeks off I’m going to really miss the free time. But I love my job and that’s the main thing. I have quite a few inset days coming up this week so my brain will probably fried. 😂

Last month’s reading was some of my best in a while, with hot days and holidays it’s really helped. I think September won’t be as a good but we’ll see how I go. This week I’m also going to launch my new Librarian feature which I’m really excited to share. And lots of catch up reviews.

If you work in a school I hope you enjoyed your summer and I hope you first week back isn’t so tiring. Onto the books I’ve read and I’m looking forward to reading.

Books I’ve Read

No Big Deal by Bethany Rutter – 5/5

Under a Dancing Star by Laura Wood – 5/5

Take a Chance on Me by Beth Garrod – 5/5

American Royals by Katharine McGee – 5/5

Lock Every Door by Riley Sager – 4.5/5

Book of the Month

Under a Dancing Star – It’s been my favourite book of the summer. It had the swoon worthy romance, the wild escapism living in Florence in the 19th Century and characters full of life. Loved it.

Books Reviewed this month

SING (Like No One is Listening) by Vanessa Jones

Alex in Wonderland by Simon James Green

Under a Dancing Star by Laura Wood

I’ve been very lucky this month with what I’ve received especially after holiday when I came back to a nice pile of book mail. I’m really looking forward to reading The Beautiful by Renee Ahdieh, which I’m hoping to read this month. It’s a vampire, paranormal YA which I haven’t read any of in AGES! I’ve got as couple of Gary Kemble books from Titan, these are saved for the end of the month when it’s gets to spooky season. As well as Adrienne Young new Viking fantasy, The Girl the Sea Gave Back and a kick-ass all female pirate cast in Seafire by Natalie C. Parker – catch my interview with her, here.

September TBR

I have no TBR really. I think with it being the first month back into work I need to be more of a mood reader. I do hope to read The Beautiful and some Adrienne Young books. Which I’m eagerly anticipating.

HAVE A GREAT SEPTEMBER!

DO YOU HAVE A WRAP-UP POST? OR LOOKING FORWARD TO ANY OF THESE BOOKS? WHAT’S ON YOUR TBR THIS MONTH? LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENTS.

  1. Added American Royals to my TBR! I didn’t do a monthly wrap up for August since I just started my book blog, and I’m not sure if I’ll do a September one since I’ll have one week hiatus in the middle there… But for the month I’m reading a nice collection of YA, fantasy, romance, and classics! Quite a lot to read, hope you’re reading something great this month!
