Hi Everyone, it’s the 2nd December, the LAST MONTH of 2019! How is that possible? I mean it’s seriously crazy how time flies, I personally hate it. I think it goes more quickly when I work in a school as you are constantly counting down the days until the next half term holiday. Just to let you know that’s in 17 days. 🧡
Nothing much happened in November for me. It was a busy month in terms of work and I didn’t read much whatsoever. Got some great books and bought loads but the ratio of my book haul to actually reading is poor. Haha. But lot’s happening on the social media front that’s for sure. Including a HUGE WP book blog follow train (that I still need to catch up on) and a discussion on scheduling our post and how you do it. I’ll pop the links in later for you to join in.
So it’s December, which ultimately means, how many books do you need to read to complete you Goodreads account?! At the beginning of the year I set my goal to 40 books. Which is quite bad to be honest, I feel I should be reading way more. I’m pleased to say I only need to read 2 more books. Yay. December is my best reading month, with the nights drawing in, Christmas decorations are up and the need to read literally overpowers you. I have no TBR though. I’m just reading what I fancy. I have more time during the Christmas holidays as well. Plus it’s Christmas, the best time of the year!!! 🎄

A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer – whilst I only read that one book. It was the best book to read that month. I read it for the Global Readalong and you can check out my first impressions in a Emma Chat’s post AND my review that followed straight away with all the feels.
WHAT ELSE?
As I mentioned I’ve had some great tweets on my account with lots of conversation about scheduling of blog posts and lots of new book blogs to follow. So below are the tweets to take a look and join in.
WORDPRESS BOOK BLOG FOLLOW TRAIN! It’s been a while and sometimes we (Me mostly) are so focused on bookstagram what about our blogs! So leave your link and let’s share some love of our blogs!

Book bloggers! Do you schedule your blog posts in advance and how many do you plan ahead?
I’m a blogger who writes the day before and posts. Sometimes this doesn’t work if I’m tired though. But then think would I lose inspiration if I wrote too many.
Thoughts?! #bookblogger

I also revealed a piece Maggie Harcourt’s new YA cover over on Instagram last week. Which was very exciting. The Pieces of Ourselves out in April 2020. So thank you Usborne.
I always struggle to write Monthly wrap-ups because usually I’ve already reviewed most of the books I wanted to talk about throughout the month. I love this idea though – top 3 blog posts, bookstagrams and tweets. May use this in the new year if you don’t mind – thanks!
I hope you have a great December, and that you manage to read lots more books!
