Hello my bookish friends! The first month of 2020 is over! How can that be!? It did go on for a while I have to say, but then the last week just went by so quickly. It’s been a really weird month, work has been crazy. I think I say that a lot. Haha. Start a new term and lots of big decisions lie ahead as well. Planning for World Book Day and Harry Potter Book Night, honestly it never stops.
It was also a month of new year goals. Mine were to read and blog more. I’ve done one more than the other which I’m pretty pleased about. I’ve managed to blog 3 times a week every week, and it’s really made a difference. I introduced two new features as well that I really loved creating too. Reading was a little slow though, my busy brain just didn’t want to read. But what I did read I really enjoyed and that’s the main thing, right?
As well as monthly wrap-up – I’m also introducing the theme to my blog for February. I’ve been talking about it a lot on Instagram and I’m really excited by it. This month I also have a half-term break. Yay! So I hope to get loads of reading done there before my best friend comes over.

MY JANUARY READINGS
Books read – 3!
Not as many I was hoping at all. I technically started HP #3 in 2019 but finished in 2020, so I think that counts. January was a funny month. My brain was so tired that the actual motivation to read a book wasn’t there at all. Even though I really wanted to. I was just so tired. Then in the last week or two I finally just sat and read for a bit which was really nice.
Harry Potter and Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling – 5 Stars – BOOK OF THE MONTH!
Haven’t They Grown by Sophie Hannah – 4 Stars| Review here

What Else?!
FANTASY FEB!
I’m really excited this month as I have so much planned both reading and content on the blog. You can expect the following:
- Reviews of upcoming Fantasy Books, maybe some backlisted titles too.
- Author Guest Posts – one from the lovely Kate and Liz Corr which will kick start another new feature.
- Author interviews – more on that to come.
- Fantasy themed discussion posts featuring fierce female protagists, and what makes a Fantasy book you love.
- I’m also including some Harry Potter content, first one coming on Thursday which is Harry Potter Book Night.
- AND MUCH MUCH MORE!
Looking forward to your Fantasy February content!!
I’m excited for your Fantasy Feb posts, they sound great!
